No bueno no good

Do yourself a favor and order the right way with Amazon or anybody else. I had for Etsy and never received my package.

Listings were hidden from the search…

Listings were hidden from the search for no reason. After waiting 3 days support replied that it was a mistake. Now after uploading the ID account was temporarily blocked. Now I need to wait for a reply another week.
Looking for other platforms like Shopify.

This business is a joke!

If I could give negative stars I would. This website is a joke! I tried to start selling on it and left the set up process to come back to it on a later date. When I returned it said my account was closed and that I needed to contact support. I did and had to reach out 3 times to get an answer. After about a month and a half I finally got an email stating my account violated their terms and conditions and was permanently closed. The email then went on to tell me to not attempt making any other account buyer or seller as those will be closed too. So there was no feedback as to what was the violation, nor was there a way to remedy it. They just closed my account and went on the threaten me with closing any other account! What type of business are you when you do not give the benefit of the doubt? What type of business are you when you block users with no way to make things right? How is this business even still around? It has terrible reviews, terrible customer service, terrible policies and handling of said policies. What a waste of my time! I am so glad they never got a chance to take any of my money!

Etsy has a lot of shady products. They make it even easier for the customers to be ripped off, because there is a time limit on how long you can write a review on a product you've already purchased. They have a lot of bad customer service.

Great experiences as a buyer

I like to support small local independent businesses just like those on Etsy. I have only dealt with Etsy UK, and only as a buyer. I am constantly amazed by the quality and workmanship of the items I receive. Always beautifully wrapped in eco-friendly wrappings and usually with a lovely note of appreciation for my custom even though I don't buy expensive items. I always feel I am dealing with real people, who have a genuine interest in providing the best possible quality, and service to their customers. I was so disappointed, then to read the reviews of sellers, on this site, and to learn how Etsy is treating them. I will continue to buy from Etsy UK for the reasons stated above. I sincerely hope that Etsy UK is providing a better service to these sellers; they deserve the best support possible.

Made lots of purchases here

Made lots of purchases here. Clothes, jewelry, teacups, coasters and posters to name some.
Every product has arrived and very seldom do I feel disappointed. It feels like your also supporting small stores.
The shipping is very variant in arrival. USA and UK takes very long (most likely because I live in the EU and shipping tolls makes it complicated). Have never waited longer than 6 weeks to receive the item overall.
You should probably be somewhat careful witch seller you choose, lots of ripoffs and not serious activities going on. Check out reviews and send massages to seller about products. At least it's often easy to get contact.
I like Etsy. Can found whatever I wan't.

I opened My ETSY shop was closed without a warning :-(((my store a month ago

I opened my store a month ago. And suddenly Etsy closed it without any warning. I did not receive an email from Etsy (yes, I checked my spam folder). I have no clue what I did wrong. I was going to sell prints of my own photographs and artworks. It's not on the prohibited list. It's not a copyright issue - it's 100% my photos and my original artworks. I am very new to Etsy, I read the selling guide and followed it in detail. I had Etsy payments, About page, policy, photos, descriptions, no external links except to my other items on Etsy. I subscribed to eRank and Marmalead, services recommend by Etsy, to optimize my items. I did not use VPN. I don't see any reason for what I did wrong. I very politely asked Etsy about a reason for closing my store. And received from Etsy a very rude and offensive response (I copied it below). I understand that Etsy has the right to not accommodate any store on its platform but without any explanation do not allow me even BUYING on Etsy?!!! It is not fair. Not just in respect of me but in respect all other sellers on Etsy because now I cannot buy anything in their stores.
Very disappointed.
There is a good side: I placed only 27 items in my Etsy store and spent only 3 weeks and had no payments on Etsy yet. It would be worst if I spend a few months and have opened orders on Etsy.
My recommendation to all new sellers: don't waste your time on Etsy. Your store can be closed at any moment without any explanation.

Worst customer service for sellers..

Worst customer service for sellers... you open an account and it goes deactivarted an hour later. When you call they hang out the phone or read you something and hang out with no explanation nothing for sale they just do whatever they want with you as a seller.
Worst experience I ever have. And if there is a customer service manager or director, you suck deep at what your doing.

Item not received

Item not received, total lack of meaningful communication from 'seller', Took the approach that I was wrong to write a review that reflected the situation as it was causing her problems! Etsy's own policies / processes seem futile and without teeth so have asked for a refund through PayPal. I will not be buying from this site again.

Have made a few purchases now with no problem but I should have expected that a seller has now taken my payment and totally ignoring me. As I’ve opened a case can’t even leave them a review. This is not a dependable buying format and buyers beware. I’m expecting Etsy will now close my account as I’ve opened the case. (For some reason the seller was insistent on my phone number, now they have it all communications have stopped, I suspect a scam but Etsy has no system for reporting this, also Etsy have seller as local, they are not!).

Ordered a vintage genuine leather…

Ordered a vintage genuine leather portfolio as a graduation present for my grandson. The item was delivered beautifully packed, substantially protecting the item . As far as i can tell it is exactly as described and extremely well made. I appreciated that there were different views of the item allowing me to decide if it was what i wanted to buy. The seller did let me know that the item would be delayed for a short time. All in all would recommend to others.
